Our experienced toolmakers and machinists at Woolf Aircraft Products, Inc. are capable of making precision dies and fixtures that produce parts and assemblies to exact customer specifications. The tooling department produces multiple varieties of bending, assembly, and inspection fixtures as well as forming dies. With an inventory of hundreds of bend radius dies, custom shaped tubes can often be bent with no custom tooling required. By combining our extensive list of standard tooling with custom clamps and assembly fixtures, customers receive parts to their exact specifications with a minimal tooling investment.
We specialize in the design and fabrication of custom clamps used to produce close tangent bends in tubing. The ability to produce close tangent bends allows us to fabricate intricate geometries for a variety of different assemblies from engine components to intake manifolds. Tooling is produced on CNC machining centers and verified using advanced CMM equipment to ensure all dimensions and tolerances required to produce a precision part are met.
To economically produce low to medium volume weldments, a modular fixturing table is utilized. Using a modular set-up allows us to produce a range of parts without creating expensive dedicated tooling for each individual part. For higher volume weldments, dedicated tooling ensures precision and repeatability throughout the life of the part. Regardless of volume, our tooling department can create a custom solution for any application. For more information about our custom tooling capability, see the table below, or contact us directly.
